Zirconia is a mineral found in nature as zircon, which is an inorganic non-metallic material with high temperature resistance, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance.It has a melting point of up to 2,700 degrees Celsius.Zirconia, which has been shown to be a successful heat shield for the space shuttle, brake pads for porsche cars and artificial conveyor belts, is far stronger than all other porcelain teeth.
It is suitable for making complete denture by CAD/CAM method.
